Columbia’s Independent Craft Beer Celebration
March 21 — 24, 2019
Very sour heavy lineup for 5th Annual Soda City Suds Week! . Opening at noon because brunch is about beers not sunshine and waiting forever. 25+ sours and special snacks kicking off at noon but running throughout the day/evening/night so plan accordingly.
Soda City Suds Week was created to help celebrate Columbia’s burgeoning craft beer scene and the businesses that work hard to promote the city and state’s beer culture.
With Columbia home to eight craft breweries/brewpubs (with more coming) and a growing number of bars, shops and other craft beer-centric businesses in the area, we want to highlight what makes these brands and businesses great and show off what they’re doing to help grow the craft beer scene in the Capital City.
Join us March 21-24, 2019 for the fifth Soda City Suds Week, and raise a toast to craft beer in Columbia!
The idea for Soda City Suds Week came about like a lot of great ideas do: Over a few pints at a local bar. With other cities throughout South Carolina hosting craft beer weeks of their own, we figured it was about time for Columbia’s beer scene to show what it’s got.
Founded by Midlands Craft Beer Supporters – a local registered non-profit organization – Soda City Suds Week is an independently run week of events aimed at promoting the range of businesses and breweries in Columbia. These aren’t just pint nights or kick the keg evenings; we encourage participating business to be creative and have fun with their events and show what makes them unique.
We love the local craft beer scene, and we want to share that love and excitement with as many people as we can.
We’re excited to bring you Columbia’s fourth independent weeklong celebration of craft beer from from March 21-24, 2019.
We’ve got a growing list of great events lined up for the week, including festivals, special releases, food and beer pairings, and chances to meet brewers from Columbia and South Carolina at large. Every day of SCSW will be something new to check out at a different location. We’ll be announcing events as the week gets closer, so be sure to check the Events section regularly for updates.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates before and during the week, and give us your feedback through our social media or through the contact form at the bottom of this page.
Stay thirsty, Columbia. Cheers!
